Stop ranting. Start managing.

We have a lot of employees.  435 members of the House of Representatives, 100 U.S. Senators, a President and a Vice President — we hired them, and we pay their salaries.  In theory we can fire them, although gerrymandering makes that very difficult to do.

If you’ve been posting political rants on social media since, say, November 8, this site is designed to help you stop ranting and start managing your employees.  Here you will find a growing archive of well-reasoned, single-issue letters to send to your elected representatives.  Feel free to send them just as they are, or edit them for your own circumstances. You can also call your representatives and use the letters to start conversations, or just read them into the voicemail system.

While we have a distinct liberal bias, some of the issues that concern us most deeply are not partisan: conflicts of interest, government ethics, First Amendment rights, voter suppression and gerrymandering.

We’ll allow comments on each post for a few days, but you’ll have to log in and they’ll be curated.  Our goal is to provide resources, not a discussion forum. Please let us know when you find errors of any kind.

If you have a letter you’d like to share, please send it using the Contact page, and let us know whether you want to be credited or remain anonymous.
