About the Letters
The letters I’ve posted on this site are intended to be used by almost anyone – just put “Dear Whoever” at the top and your name and address at the bottom. They will be most effective, however, if you personalize them to some degree.
My goal is that each one be factual, well-reasoned and unemotional, with a basis in our Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, or federal or state law.
After the 2016 election, I started writing some letters to my congressional delegation, and shared them on Facebook, inviting my Facebook friends to plagiarize freely and write to their own representatives. A number of people took me up on my suggestion.
I started this site in order to reach more people without exposing my personal Facebook presence to people I don’t know. I’m using my maiden name in order to keep this effort separate from my business and personal life, since emotions run so high around some of these issues.
But if I want you to participate with me, you should know a little about me. I’m an unabashed liberal with no political experience. I’m a CPA, and am currently the president of a small IT company in Northern Virginia. Most of my company’s revenue is dependent on government contracting. I’ve been married for a long time; we have three children and six grandchildren.
